What does RSS stand for?
RSS, which stands for Really Simple Syndication, is a lightweight XML-based technology for sharing Web content. Other definitions include Rich Site Summary or RDF [Resource Description Framework] Summary. RSS is a relatively new popular way to distribute content via the Internet.
Typical applications include email newsletters, blogs or even Web sites. Since RSS is fairly new, not all websites can publish their content in RSS format. However, thousands of RSS sources are available and you can fine those sources all over the world including AdultEMart.com.
How do I use RSS?
Similar to newsgroups, RSS feeds require a special “reader” like Pluck, NewsGator, My Yahoo! or others listed below to view messages. RSS readers allow you to find feeds and subscribe to them, so that content is delivered to your desktop; there are web-based readers as well.
Subscription to RSS feeds including AdultEMart.com’s feeds usually takes only a couple of clicks, and does not involve any registration process or fee. After you have subscribed to an RSS feed, news will begin to flow to your reader. When you see a headline that interests you, just click it to view the full article.
RSS Readers
There are many different Really Simple Syndication (RSS) readers (also known as news aggregators) available and we recommend only a few of them. A news aggregator or RSS reader is a software application that collects and displays news headlines and summaries from sources that you have designated.
Some readers are designed with user interfaces that resemble e-mail inboxes instead of browsers. Whatever your preference, all RSS readers are used to collect, update, and display RSS feeds.

Find and subscribe to syndicated content
Subscribing to a Really Simple Syndication (RSS) feed is similar to subscribing to a magazine. When you subscribe to a magazine, each new issue is mailed directly to you. When you subscribe to an RSS feed, every time a new entry or article is published to the Web, a link to the entry or article is added to your reader.
With RSS subscription you can keep track of a large number of your favorite Web sites or blogs, without having to remember to check each site manually or clutter your email Inbox. You can streamline your online experience by subscribing to specific content feeds and aggregating this information in one place to be read when you're ready.
In order to subscribe to an RSS feed you will need two things, an RSS reader (see above) and a URL (Universal Resource Locator or simply web address) of the RSS feed that you wish to subscribe to.
Below are a few simple steps you need to follow:
- Download an RSS Reader (if you wish to use a desktop version or simply create an account for a web-based reader).
- Install the reader of your choice
- Locate the web address (URL) of the RSS feed that you would like to subscribe to
- Follow the directions of your specific reader to add the URL (usually there is an “add feed” button)
- The information in the feed will be updated when the feed contains new content
How to Subscribe to AdultEMart.com’s RSS Feed
There are three ways to subscribe.
Manually add feeds
- Click on the classic RSS button beneath your chosen feed (RSS button is the first button in the row).
- A page containing the actual XML of the selected RSS feed will open, if you don’t have a reader installed.
- Download and install a reader (see above)
- Copy / paste the URL and follow the directions of your reader to add the URL.
- Once you have finished, the new RSS feed will be added to your Reader. Repeat these steps for each feed you would like to add.
Click to subscribe
- Click on a button that displays a web-based RSS news reader of your choice. Please note that you can customize your display by selecting / deselecting buttons located in the top right corner of the page.
- The web-based news reader of your choice will open. If you already have an account with the web-based news provider, the URL will be added to your custom folder; otherwise, create an account and repeat these steps.
Drag and drop
- If you specific reader supports these option, simply drag and drop the classic RSS button into the RSS Reader. You will be instantly subscribed to the feed.
